Manager, Inventory & Logistics
Description
We are looking for a Manager, Inventory and Logistics who can motivate the team to drive agility and best practices and the achievement of business goals including revenue, profit, and growth by driving continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the Director, Supply Chain this role will motivate and mentor the team while managing the areas of Logistics, Inventory and Warehousing. This role will refine workflow processes, offer recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of the logistics, inventory and warehousing teams.
A typical day as Manager, Inventory and Logistics includes:
- Manage the Logistics team
- Approve and audit 3PL and freight invoices
- Lead inventory management across multiple locations and warehouses
- Troubleshoot problem LCBO loads
- Maintain cross-functional relationships with all internal teams
- Ensure logistics KPIs of on-time/in-full are achieved
- Regularly audit the marketplace for more efficient lanes/rates and new opportunities for partnerships
- Maintain positive relationships with all logistics partners
- Oversee creation, implementation and maintenance of all standard operating procedures on inbound and outbound logistics and inventory management
How your time will be organized:
- Overseeing the Logistics team duties (40%)
- Manage physical inventory transfers across all locations
- All shipments to Collective Arts customers
- Complete internal LSRs (logistics service requests) across all departments as needed
- Book all return shipments as needed
- Liaise with, and assist, inside sales on order processing with 3rd party warehouses as needed
- Overseeing Inventory duties (40%)
- Complete month end inventory reconciliations
- Lead internal investigations on variances and escalations as needed
- Ensure inventory KPIs are achieved
- Assist with creating/developing procedures necessary to creating efficiencies in inventory management
- Warehouse Management (20%)
- Ensure orders are leaving on time/in full across all customers
- Liaise with 3rd party warehouse staff to ensure proper procedures are in place/followed
- Manage systems related to 3PL warehouse operations - EDI, ERP integrations (with ERP lead)
- Oversee creation, implementation and maintenance of all standard operating procedures on 3rd party warehouse operations

- Drive optimization projects to increase the profitability of the company
- Manage the proper definition, alignment, and implementation of the correct business plans to sustain a successful supply chain
- Prepare strategy, documentation, presentations and make recommendations for technical/functional aspects related to the supply chain
We’re looking for candidates who:
- Strategic mindset and analytical skills and the ability to predict inventory issues proactively through the analysis of data
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment.
- Demonstrated abilities in analytics, problem solving and team building with a strong financial & business acumen and project management skills.
- Experience in interfacing with the broader Supply Chain and Commercial functions and a high level of capability around managing relationships and outcomes with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Logistics and Customer Service.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, with different teams, functions and business units across the organization, and deliver on project management accountabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Supply Chain, and/or Engineering is required. Higher education is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of demonstrated management experience leading a high-performing Supply Chain department in a growing manufacturing organization
- Previous experience in the CPG industry is considered an asset
